McRib Pork Patty

Do you like the McRib?. Do you know what's in the pork patty? Lets take a look.

*Ingredients: Pork, water, salt, dextrose, preservatives (BHA, propyl gallate, citric acid).

What is the propyl gallate in the McRib Patty?

Stop Killing my Kids states:

"Propyl Gallate can cause allergic reactions in the form of an asthma attack in some people. It can also cause stomach and skin irritation, liver damage, kidney damage and has the potential to increase your chances of having cancer.Animal testing has proven that the likelihood of contracting cancer increased; however, due to the conditions of the study itself, scientists state that it cannot, in any degree of certainty, be stated that Propyl Gallate causes cancer."
And is it common for a food additive to have an MSDS? Well, propyl gallate has one here.
"Potential Acute Health Effects:
Hazardous in case of ingestion. Slightly hazardous in case of skin contact (irritant), of eye contact (irritant), of inhalation."

I think it's time to plan a McRib Retirement Party or McRib Funeral. Anyone want to help? And I can assure you.. my dreams DO NOT dream about this. Virtually hidden in each McDonald's.. .that's a good thing because then, you don't actually come in contact with this "sandwhich".

Don't forget to sign the petition to retire the McRib
