Sign the Petition to Retire the McRib®

Leave a comment below by clicking "comments" if you agree that the McRib should be retired. Signatures that do not agree with this petition will be deleted as McDonalds provides a forum for supporters.

We the undersigned recognize the McRib (trademark of McDonald's Corporation) is a vile, tasteless attempt at selling a pseudo-rib like sandwich to the masses. While we realize the free enterprise system of America allows for such creations to be foisted upon an unknowing public, we recommend the permanent discontinuation of this sandwich.
As evidence of our distaste for the McRib we offer the following evidence:
1) The McRib has nothing to do with anything remotely rib in nature. It is merely a formed,boneless pork patty with artificial grill marks.
2) The McRib has nothing to do with anything truly Barbeque as defined as hot smoked, slow cooked meats with in-direct heat.
3) The McRib with it's pickles, onions, boneless pork patty and sauce discredit two great sandwiches:
(A) A beef brisket sandwich which is more properly the creation of the State of Texas.
(B) A pork barbeque sandwich which is more properly the creation of the South (including: North Carolina, South Carolina and adjoining states east of the Mississippi).

May the McRib finally go the way of the dinosaur.

Blasphemer! A Jihad upon you the wannabe destructor of McRib. Repent of your ways as all pork is the other white meat and none shall be discriminated against. Blasphemer!

The Mcrib is a horrible thing. I just ate one last night(too tired to cook). A couple of hours later, I started to have these really bad stomach cramps. I spent the rest of the night going back and forth to the bathroom with vomiting and diarrhea. I also kept having these burps that left an awful taste in my mouth. Everything that came out of my body smelled completely unnatural. The Mcrib needs to retire because I would hate for anyone else to experience what I did.

My family and I are not really effected if the McRib stays or goes. We would rather eat out of a trash can! BUT, I believe it's offerings such as the McRib that tears down the health of America as a whole. I think McDonald's should do the responsible thing and Mc86 the McRib.

I'm all for sending that piece of little meat-particles into retirement, especeally after i once bought one beliving it might actually taste anything like the advertising picture suggested. By then, i did not even take the time to think how the heck one was to make an edible rib sandwich....
---> BE GONE!!!

It used to be meat.
Now it is corpses processed into Soylent Green wafers.

The McRib should be retired because it is a Hall of Fame sandwich. It is too wonderful for today's young people. Sure, in our time, a rib sandwich would contain bones and gristle, and McDonald's has been kind enough to grind the bones and gristle to a fine rubbery paste for you. I don't know how they apply those grill marks--probably with four quick stripes of FDA Grill Mark Dye #13. Retire it. Fine. You people don't deserve it. Stick with your Tofu and your Tu-no.

If you do not like it, do not buy it. It does not need to be taken off the menu.
